DriveControl gives wheelchair users the freedom to move around indoors. DriveControl is a wheelchair control system designed exclusively for the Tellus i6 in combination with the mo-vis interface. Through the Mind Express software, your communication device becomes a powerful platform to control your wheelchair via eye tracking.

The power of the Tellus i6
DriveControl makes full use of the unique features of the Tellus i6. Thanks to its inclusive design with a camera at the rear of the device (TiltCam), integrated mounting options, high-performance eye tracking and robust software, the Tellus i6 with DriveControl offers a smooth driving experience.
The TiltCam allows you to see everything that would not be visible through the device while driving. You can also point the camera up or down to get the perfect view of your surroundings.
DriveControl is designed to be operated with eye tracking. Once adjusted, it is very easy to use. The user can access the controls themselves via a button in the communication pageset or the portal in Mind Express 5. This also works in reverse, allowing the user to quickly switch between communicating and moving around.
Smooth control
We also developed a control option using a protractor. The large box in the middle contains concentric semicircles, with or without the image captured by the TiltCam at the rear of the Tellus i6. By looking at a specific place on the screen, you determine the direction in which you want to steer the wheelchair. The speed is then determined by the distance from the point you are looking at to the centre of the circles. The further away you look from the smallest circle on the screen, the faster the wheelchair moves forward.
This unique control method, together with the camera image, ensures a very smooth way of driving. This means you are not depending on a limited number of directions to control the wheelchair.
Comfort & position
DriveControl is customised by the wheelchair supplier. This gives you a unique, tailor-made driving experience. The mo-vis interface allows DriveControl to not only control the wheelchair, but also to adjust the wheelchair itself. Depending on the wheelchair settings, the height, backrest, footrest and other parts can be adjusted. This allows you to adjust your position to suit the conversation in all circumstances.
